What is meant by a 'flattened end design'?

With our standard extended licence, you are required to provide your end customers or clients with a flattened end design so that your design elements cannot be extracted or worked with in any way.

An example of flattened end designs include physical printed items, e-books and non-editable logo image files.

In most design software, you have the option to flatten your layers into one design layer, so that your designs cannot be changed, before exporting.
