Need some pointers on how to get the type of feedback you’re looking for? We’ve put together some handy tips to help.
Add context to your post
Tell everyone a little bit about yourself and the piece you want feedback on.
You could include;
- What you hope to achieve, e.g. I'm concentrating on lighting in this piece.
- Share the end use e.g. I’m creating a piece for my children’s illustration portfolio.
- Any aspect you would like advice on e.g how can I create a more dynamic composition?
- Asking for resources e.g. I’m struggling with fur, can you recommend a good fur brush or a tutorial that might help me?
Example - before:
Hi, this is my latest creation, what do you think?
Example - after:
Hi everyone! I’m currently working on creating fun designs for the children’s market, which I’m hoping to license, as well as sell in my own online shop.
I’m planning to make this piece into wall art, I’d also like to turn it into a repeat pattern that I can use on items like bedspreads. Does anyone have any advice on pattern making?

I’d also really love to hear any other feedback that you might have on the design itself. Thank you!
We hope that demonstrates how you can influence the type, and quality of feedback that you receive from other people.
